OVERVIEW: Mother Nature is a film festival focusing on sustainability and women’s ability to shape environmental choices. Women serve an important function in all the films, either by directing or playing a lead role. The festival’s four female brand figures visually speak to the four different areas of the environment that need protection: atmosphere, ocean, land, and forest. Each screen at the outdoor theater is connected to one of the illustrated women, playing movies related to the environmental issue this woman represents. Mother Nature was inspired by the natural beauty of women and the important role they play in social causes. Therefore, all the women are in their most authentic state: Nude bodies, natural hair, and unashamed. The natural state of the women reflects the way our ecosystem was intended to be. All of the illustrations in this piece were hand-drawn and digitized.
