OVERVIEW: This Nancy Drew Mystery Series is a design refresh for the popular 1930's books. The concept was to modernize Nancy Drew without losing her iconic vintage style. Each book jacket embraces a similar visual storyline; however, every mystery novel design has a “key item” that makes it unique. To deliver both this consistency and contrast, each book features Nancy in her iconic outfit with the differing “key item” illustrated on the front cover. The books also have different brightly colored backgrounds intended to captivate the young audience's attention. In addition, the green spine with the connecting flashlight beam ties them all together to entice adolescents to buy all of the books in order to complete the picture on their bookshelf.
